Success through partnership

Over the past few years, we have witnessed the importance of continuous investment in healthcare innovation and new technologies. It has also become evident that international collaboration and partnership is key to the success of new developments in life sciences and health.

In order to create a comprehensive overview of what the Netherlands has to offer to these partnerships, the Dutch Life Sciences & Health sector has recently published a new bidbook entitled 'Welcome to the Netherlands: Europe's Connected Life Sciences & Health Metropolis'. This exciting publication aims to promote international collaboration and highlight the opportunities for businesses and researchers in the field of life sciences and health.

Get connected

The Netherlands is a well-connected hub with a prime geographical location at the heart of Europe, linked globally via excellent digital and physical infrastructure. This creates a more interconnected European medical landscape, where we are able to keep short lines of communication with partners abroad and share knowledge and talent. This is only enhanced by being home to the European Medicines Agency, as well as to seven university medical centres.

“We are located at the heart of Europe and globally connected via excellent digital and physical infrastructure. What makes us unique are the quadruple helix collaborations in which citizens, researchers, government and entrepreneurs are working together to drive innovation in healthcare” – Carmen van Vilsteren

With an open-minded, inventive, and inclusive approach to novel challenges in life sciences and health. So let's work together to innovate the future of health, for the benefit of patients and society at large.
